Course description

This SQA accredited qualification consists of three units. Influences on Mental Health and Wellbeing, Understanding Mental Health Issues, Coping Strategies and Building Resilience. it is completed by completing three assessments (one for each unit). Attendance is over 6 days (scheduled in advance) with further reading, research, reflection and completion of assessments. This would be submitted within 3 months of the last teaching day. The qualification will benefit those seeking employment by building confidence in developing understanding of your own wellbeing, being resilient and techniques to ensure you are well when you secure employment. It will also benefit anyone wanting a career in care as it will increase understanding of mental health conditions to work in a care setting. For employees wanting to upskill it will help you understand adverse mental health, and know how to support your colleagues, team members. The course will improve communication skills, self awareness.
