Course description
The ICDL Advanced level qualifications are designed to progress computer skills gained from the ICDL (ECDL) qualification and allows learners to demonstrate higher level computer skills. Advanced Databases helps learners to get more from database applications (Access) by using advanced tools to better manage and organise structured data. Learners will develop skills in areas including creating a relational database using advanced table creation features and complex relationships between tables; designing and using queries to create tables, update, delete and append data; refine queries using wildcards, parameters and calculations; using controls and subforms to enhance forms and improve functionality; creating report controls to perform calculations and enhancing productivity by working with macros and using linking and importing features to integrate data. Tutor support is available to all learners, both in-person and online. At present exams may be undertaken onsite or remotely.
Entry requirements
It is recommended that you hold and ICDL / ECDL qualification, however this is not madatory.
