Course description
The ICDL Advanced level qualifications are designed to progress computer skills gained from the ICDL (ECDL) qualification and allows learners to demonstrate higher level computer skills. Advanced Spreadsheets sets out advanced skills that can be used to produce sophisticated reports, to perform complex mathematical and statistical calculations, and to improve productivity using Excel to produce higher-quality management information. Learners will develop skills in areas including applying advanced formatting options such as conditional formatting and customised number formatting; using functions associated with logical, statistical, financial and mathematical operations; working with tables and lists to analyse, filter and sort data; validate and audit spreadsheet data; using linking, embedding and importing features to integrate data and to enhance productivity by working with named cell ranges and macros. Tutor support is available to all learners, both in-person and online. At present exams may be undertaken onsite or remotely.
Entry requirements
It is recommended that you hold an ICDL / ECDL certificate, however this is not mandatory.
