Course description

The ICDL Advanced level qualifications are designed to progress computer skills gained from the ICDL (ECDL) and allows learners to demonstrate higher level computer skills. Advanced Word Processing develops skills which will enable learners to enhance their work and improve productivity and create complex documents. Learners will develops skills in areas such as applying advanced text, paragraph, column and table formatting ; working with referencing features like footnotes, endnotes and captions; creating tables of contents, indexes and cross references; using linking and embedding features to integrate data; work with watermarks, sections, headers and footers; applying advanced mail merge techniques and working with automation features like macros. Tutor support is available to all learners, both in-person and online. At present exams may be undertaken onsite or remotely.
