Course description

The ICDL Advanced qualification is designed to progress computer skills gained from the ICDL and allows learners to demonstrate higher level computer skills. The ICDL Advanced comprises 4 modules : Word Processing : examines the advanced features of word processing applications enabling learners to enhance their work and improve productivity Spreadsheets : provides an opportunity to bring spreadsheet skills (Excel) to an expert level using the application to produce higher-quality management information. Databases : helps learners to get more from database applications by using advanced tools to better manage and organise structured information Presentations : a vital tool for learners who wish to create effective, high-impact presentations using advanced features of Powerpoint. All 4 modules have to be completed in the learner year - alternatively modules should be chosen individually from our course selection. Tutor support is available to all learners both in-person and online. At present exams may be undertaken onsite or remotely.

We would recommend that you hold ICDL / ECDL certificates or have relevant knowledge of areas set out in the syllabus, however this is not mandatory.
