Course description

This CPD accredited course will improve your skills using Microsoft Windows and working with your files and folders! You'll gain confidence carrying out file-related tasks, eg opening and saving files in Microsoft Office. We'll show you how folders can be created and used to organise your files. You'll also learn how to complete various file management tasks, use a Memory Stick, use the Recycle Bin and use OneDrive! The course consists of the following modules: - Use basic Windows Features - Use the Taskbar - Use the File Explorer - Use the Recycle Bin - Use a Memory Stick - Save Files in Microsoft Office - Open Files in Microsoft Office - Use OneDrive The course is taught using a combination of 1-to-1 training sessions and self-paced online learning. You'll receive 4 hours of 1-to-1 training from an EC-PC Tutor. During the training sessions we'll cover core topics from the course, or we can customise the sessions to cover what you need to know. The training sessions can be delivered in 1 day or over a period of time, eg 1 hour a week for 4 weeks. Training is delivered remotely using Microsoft Teams. If you live in the Aberdeen area the course can be delivered face-to-face at our Aberdeen Training Centre. You'll receive 12 months' access to the self-paced online course where you'll be able to watch short bite-sized video lessons and download practice files.
