CSCS Course – REHIS Elementary Health & Safety (Construction) plus CITB CSCS Test & Operatives Card

Course description

The REHIS Elementary Health & Safety Course has been independently rated on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at Level 5 with 1 credit and is approved by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) as an equivalent qualification which learners, once achieved, can apply to sit the test for a CSCS Green Labourer Card. The syllabus covers the following: • General Introduction • Accidents & Ill Health • Slips &Trips • An Introduction to Health and Safety Law • Risk Assessment • Hazardous Substances • Personal Protective Equipment • Workplace Health, Safety and Welfare • Vehicles at Work • Fire • First Aid • Plant, Machinery and Equipment • Electricity at Work • Occupational Health • Manual Handling • Working at Heights In order to apply for the Green Labourers card the candidate must be certificated in this award (or equivalent) and successfully pass the operatives CITB Health, Safety & Environment Touch Screen Test. The candidate will be issued with a course pack (including The Health & Safety Handbook for Scotland publication) and additional revision materials to help them prepare for the CITB CSCS test. At the end of this course the learner will be assessed using a multi-choice assessment paper with a minimum pass mark of 60%. Successful completion of this unit will result in a REHIS Elementary Health & Safety certificate being awarded. On successful completion of REHIS Elementary Health & Safety course you will be required to revise for the CITB HS&E touch screen test. You will be issued with revision materials to help you prepare for this. HSC Futures will book the test for you and you will be issued with a score report that will be immediately available. Upon successful completion of both tests, we will help you apply for your CSCS Card. The course price includes the REHIS Elementary Health & Safety qualification, CSCS HS&E Test and application for the CITB Operatives Card. Please note that any re-sits will be charged at the current rate and are not included in the cost of the course. REHIS Elementary Health & Safety = £5 per re-sit and CITB HS&E Touch Screen Test re-sit is £22.00. HSC Futures is happy to arrange for the re-sit, on receipt of payment.
