Course description
This is a 1 day regulated and nationally recognised qualification and is ideal for those who wish to work directly with patients or clients in a health and social care setting, such as hospitals, care homes, day care centres and homecare. It is specifically designed to develop candidates’ awareness of health and safety in a health and social care environment, to help ensure that they are keeping themselves, and the people they care for safe. COURSE CONTENT: Topics include: • standards for health and safety welfare in a health and social care environment • risk assessments • identifying and controlling hygiene hazards • personal hygiene QUALIFICATION GAINED: Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in Health and Social Care (RQF)
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course however you should have a basic level of English and be looking to secure employment in a social care related role. Must have photographic ID to sit exams.
