The Scottish Beauty School (School of Beauty (Scotland) Limited)
This is a one day intensive course. This involves completing underpinning knowledge and Open Book assessment. Candidates will learn about consultation, contra-indications, anatomy & physiology, health & safety, step by step procedure, trouble shooting, homecare and aftercare, As well as styling and finishing techniques. They will develop practical skills such as Henna Brow colouring , brow mapping, trimming, shaping, and waxing. The focus is on practical activities to develop the skills within this unit. It is essential that the relevant aspects of the current Health and Safety legislation are explained and that underpinning knowledge is given, as well adhered to as part of this unit. The Learning outcomes contained in this unit are as follows: 1. Demonstrate knowledge of the face shapes, contra-indications, and contra-actions. Assessment Criteria: Structured questions will be carried out in open book conditions 2. Prepare the eye brow for Henna application in a recognised environment Assessment Criteria: Candidates will require to demonstrate how to consult, analyse, prepare, select and record by practical activity on a minimum of two occasions 3. Carry out the Henna Brow Procedure Assessment Criteria: Candidates will require to demonstrate their ability to carry out the Henna Brow application, in a recognised environment. Health and safety procedures should be observed at all times. 4. Carry out home care and after care procedures Assessment Criteria: Candidates will be required to give after care advice to clients and recommend suitable home care products and comply with all health and safety requirements while carrying out the treatment. Students are required to carry out procedure on a minimum of 6 clients to enhance skills. All work is internally verified Entry to the course is not an automatic pass. Students not reaching a satisfactory standard by the end of the course, will be given additional remediation and re assessment at no additional cost.
Entry Level - This course is for beginners no previous experience necessary Following the completion of this course the successful students will graduate with a Scottish Beauty School and Kerry Hoy Henna Brow Certificate which is recognised and approved by ABT (Associated Beauty Therapies). This will allow the students to obtain insurance and enable them to practice as a Henna Brow specialist which is an exciting new brow development highly recognised within the beauty industry. The above course could lead to full time, part time, and self-employment within the Beauty Industry.
