Course description
The objectives of this course enables delegates to: - Identify hazards and follow safe systems of work - Demonstrate that they have the necessary practical skills and the knowledge to do their work effectively and efficiently - Meet the requirements to gain a 'Construction Plant Competence Scheme' (CPCS) Level 2 VQ Units: - Slinging and signalling the movement of suspended loads - Confrom to general workplace health, safety and welfare - Confrom to productive work practices This training / qualification is the route which a delegate must complete to upgrade from a CPCS red trained operator card to a CPCS blue competent operator card.
Entry requirements
This course is designed for candidates working as a slinger signaller who wish to gain a VQ. The CITB Health and Safety Test must have been successfully completed within 24 months of course dates if applying for a CPCS Blue Card from a CPCS Red Card.
