Course description
The REHIS Elementary Food hygiene course can be delivered in a classroom setting or via e-learning. The e-learning course allows candidates to access the training at times convenient to them and work through the course online at their own pace. The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Course is designed principally for those who are food handlers within the catering and hospitality industry who wish to progress by gaining a formal certificate, or for those intending to work within the industry. Holders of this qualification will have knowledge and understanding of their expected behaviour as responsible individuals within food safety procedures. Approximately 6 hours guided learning hours for the classroom based course and 9 guided learning hours for the e-learning course are required in preparation for this examination. Full tutor support will be available throughout. There is a single examination for this certificate comprising of 30 multiple-choice questions. The duration of the examination is 30 minutes. The examination will take place at a mutually agreed location and will be invigilated by DG Training. Candidates must gain a minimum of 27 marks out of the possible 45 marks to pass the examination.
