These qualifications cover areas such as initiating, building and maintaining purposeful relationships with young people and assisting them to express and realise their goals. They also include planning, preparing and facilitating activities with young people, and working with young people to safeguard their own welfare. This SVQ is suitable for: Learners who may have just left school. Individuals who are currently in employment and who wish to obtain a formal qualification. Employees who wish to undertake continuing professional development (CPD) courses.
