‘Business law’ governs business commercial transactions by convention, agreement or legislation. We delve into the workings of commercial law and compare it to criminal law. This course covers European Community Law and traces its links to the UK’s court system. We examine civil court proceedings, outline contracts and lay out the benefits of employment law. This course provides crucial information required to legally conduct business in the UK.

Business law, sometimes called ‘commercial’ or ‘mercantile’ law, governs financial transactions by convention, agreement or national or international law. We begin by studying the nature of law, particularly those applicable in the United Kingdom. We also outline European Community Law before examining specific regulations, directives and decisions.
