Course description

This course will provide a grounding in the history of whisky making, the production process and marketing of the product. You will develop skills in nosing and tasting.In particular, it will focus on developing an appreciation of the general characteristics of the different styles and types of Scotch whisky.This course is especially relevant to those who work in Scotch whisky, hospitality, leisure & tourism and retail industries, but it is available to anyone aged 18 or above with an interest in whisky. At the end of this courseyou will receive a UHI Moray Certificate.

Learning outcome

On successful completion of this course you may progress onto further study in hospitality.
