Course description

The Construction Pre Apprenticeship programme is designed for those who wish to pursue a career within the construction industry. It will allow you to develop a range of construction skills and industry recognised qualifications at SCQF Level 5, which will benefit you when applying for a construction based apprenticeship.Unlike other pre apprenticeship programmes, this course focuses on three main aspects of construction: bricklaying, joinery, and painting and decorating. As part of the course, you will have the opportunity to put your skills into practice and help choose, design and work on a live construction project.With a significant skills shortage in the industry, there is high demand for people with construction skills.  One Brick Walling: An Introduction  Develop Bench Joinery Skills  Develop Site Joinery Skills  Decorative Painting Construction Project

When you've successfully completed this course, you can move on to study at a higher level such as:  Construction Management HNC Construction Modern Apprenticeship
