Lloyds Banking Group presents: Not sure a career in tech is for you? Think again… (Secondary Schools)

Hosted in the unique Dovecot Studios, and led by the team at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) this is an exceptional opportunity for female and non-binary senior secondary school pupils to explore a journey of insights, inspiration and practical advice to guide you through your next steps in education or career.

Short presentations will cover:

  • Myth busting about careers in tech
  • Meet the role models (who may not be what you expect)

Interactive exhibition stands led by the LBG team will provide hands on access to:

  • AI in action
  • The power of Data
  • Design essentials
  • Engineering mindset
  • Careers, CV and interview advice

It will be a truly immersive event enabling attendees to get a strong steer on tech career pathways and how to advance your journey.

Format:
09:30 to 10:00 Arrive and check in
10:00 to 10:30 Welcome and opening presentations
10:30 to 11:40 Interactive exhibition stands, careers advice, refreshments
11:40 to 12:00 Reflections and closing remarks

All participants will be provided with a “career passport” stamped for each “journey” they make through the focused and informal exhibition. Prizes will be awarded at the end. Soft drinks and cake will be in supply to fuel the tour through the stands.

Senior school pupils who identify as female or non-binary from S5 and S6 who are interested in learning more about career opportunities in technology.

Teachers and Careers Advisors

Parents and Carers looking to explore opportunities beyond school for those in their care.
