Intro to the course:

This course covers a wide range of topics within the construction industry, with a particular focus on carpentry and joinery. Key areas include:

• Introduction to Construction Trades: Overview of various trades such as bricklaying, plastering and painting and decorating.
• Carpentry and Joinery: Detailed study of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials.
• Health and Safety: Essential practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Construction Technology: Understanding modern construction methods and materials.
• Practical Workshops: Hands-on experience in a variety of construction projects.
• Project Management: Basics of planning and managing construction projects.

Full time course: 3 days per week, over 1 academic year.
