Course description
This course will develop your theoretical knowledge and understanding of engineering by delivering a detailed introduction to mechanical engineering subjects.
Completion of this course will allow you to progress to HNC/D level or into employment.

What you will need
Boiler suit, safety boots, safety glasses; paper, pens, pencils, calculator. A list will be sent to you before the start of the course.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
This course is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programme. This means that you are required to have access to your own laptop computer, netbook or similar device in class each day that you are in college.
This may be funded or part-funded by a bursary, if you are eligible to receive one.
Entry requirements
- One National 5 pass in Maths at grade B or above (Applications of Maths is not accepted)
Or
- Completion of SCQF Level 5 NC Engineering – with Maths Craft 1 and 2.
