This course is specifically designed to develop knowledge and skills in the cyber security domain.
Course description
This course will provide you with the skills to meet industry requirements and include: the opportunity to learn about cyber adversary methods and our mitigations, an introduction to encryption and blockchain, an introduction to networking, team working in Internet of Things and cloud server virtualisation, learn about open-source operating systems and project manage and create your own cyber security related final project.
What you will experience

- Team working in Internet of Things and Cloud server virtualisation.
- Open-source operating systems.
- Project manage and create your own cyber security related final project.
Students on this course can apply for one of our paid intern positions working on the student IT Helpdesk. This is a great opportunity to put into practice what you have learned while supporting students at College.
Entry requirements
- Two Highers, including Computing Science.
- A Foundation Apprenticeship will be considered equivalent to one Higher in Computing Science.
- Students progressing from Access to Networking (SCQF Level 6) can also gain entry to this course.
