Course description
Prepare for a career in accounting or further study. This course will help you enhance your existing knowledge and develop a skill set that meets the standards required by employers, while also providing progression opportunities at university.
You’ll gain a solid foundation in the concepts and processes used in financial and management accounting, as well as other essential and academic skills required in the professional workplace.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
This course is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programme. This means that you are required to have access to your own laptop computer, netbook or similar device in class each day that you are in college.
If you do not already own a suitable device you can apply for a student loan from SAAS, if eligible, to fund the cost of purchasing a device.
Entry requirements
- Two Highers preferably including English, plus one National 5 pass in Maths or Applications of Maths
Or
- Completion of SCQF Level 5/6 Business, Accounting & Administration
Or
- Completion of a Foundation Apprenticeship in Accountancy or Business Skills
- For those returning to education, relevant experience and qualifications may allow entry.
