This course is only available to school students. Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.

This course takes account of the knowledge and skills required by people who have a real interest in acting and musical theatre and wish to enter future employment in that area or; continue to study performance in further and higher education.

In this course, you will learn about and develop techniques in expression and communication to an audience, and about theatre arts and performance.

Entry requirements

This course will be of particular interest and benefit to students who already have successfully achieved a pass in National 5 Drama and who have a keen interest in developing their skills in singing, acting, and performance.

An informal audition will take place during the first week which will take the form of a performance of one short age-appropriate monologue and song.

You can choose the material yourself or staff will provide this for you.

Days Per Week Tuesdays and Thursdays - 1.30 pm to 4 pm

Further study

Along with relevant National 5 passes (C grade or better), this could lead to full-time NC Acting and Performance.

Along with relevant Higher passes (C grade or better), this could lead to full-time HND Acting and Performance or HND Musical Theatre
