If you like the idea of landscaping, this course gives you the capability to achieve your goals. You’ll learn the practical and theoretical aspects including planning, design and construction, the difference between hard and soft landscaping, brickwork and fencing. This course gives you the skills and knowledge required for a career in landscaping, whether you choose self-employment or a job in the landscaping industry - learning outdoors, in the classroom and in our workshops and glasshouses.
Course description
NC Landscaping with Design Skills is delivered through both practical and theoretical study, and you should be prepared for a degree of classroom study.

Entry requirements
- NC / NPA / SVQ Level 1 in Horticulture or Rural Skills, or equivalent; AND
- A minimum of three qualifications at National 4, or equivalent
- You should also have a keen interest in working outdoors, and demonstrate this in your application.
- If you have any relevant industry or voluntary experience in the horticulture sector you should also highlight this in your application.
