Would you like to get into the plumbing industry? You can take your first steps into the trade on this Pre-Apprenticeship Plumbing Installation programme, which is designed to get you ready to train while you work. You’ll learn everything from the principles of commercial, domestic and industrial plumbing to central heating and drainage, gain essential employability skills which will help your prospects for an apprenticeship or work experience with a local employer.
Course description
In this Pre-Apprenticeship Plumbing Installation work programme you'll learn:
- Health and safety in building services
- Electrical principles and processes for building services engineering
- Scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing
- Common plumbing processes: Cold water systems / domestic hot water systems
- Sanitation
- Central heating systems
- Drainage systems
- How to communicate with others within building services engineering.

Entry requirements
- National 4, or equivalent, in Maths and English are desirable
- Please note you should be aged 16 or over by the course start date
- We will consider your application if you have relevant experience but no formal qualifications
