Resources you can use in the classroom
For primary school-aged pupils
- Meta Skills Land: Meta Skills Land represents every individual’s unique environment – their social environment, physical environment and experiences. Pupils will use their meta-skill helpers (12 characters, each representing a meta-skill) to support them in different situations.
For primary and secondary school pupils
- My Profile: empower your pupils with this digital space where they can capture who they are, what they enjoy, their achievements and aims. My Profile is theirs to shape and travels with them from primary school right through to adulthood.
- My Achievements: deliver a fun and engaging lesson that focuses on what achievements are, how pupils can identify their own and the ways these link back to meta-skills.
- Animal Me: help your pupils explore their personality and strengths to learn about jobs they may be suited to.
- Skillscraft: this new resource takes primary and secondary pupils on a journey through famous Scottish landmarks – they'll play games and explore careers across exciting industries that are relevant now, and in the future.
For secondary school pupils
- Classroom Clash: introduce your pupils to meta-skills and exciting careers across key industries with our series of nine fun games aimed at P6 to S3 pupils. Your class can compete for top spot on the leaderboard and our engaging lesson plans make the sessions easy to deliver.
- Meta-skills toolkit: a suite of resources that will help you embed meta-skills into the curriculum. The toolkit includes lesson plans, bite-sized activities and Meta Skills Land – this is a fun and play-based way to introduce meta-skills.
