Scottish Careers Week is back from 9 to 13 November. The week is a chance for career practitioners to showcase the value of careers support and the difference it makes in education, communities and workplaces.
By sharing your expertise, highlighting local activity and working with partners, you can help young people and job changers explore the opportunities around them and make confident, informed choices about their future.
Show what careers support makes possible
Use Scottish Careers Week to spark conversations and open doors. The campaign gives you a chance to show how careers support helps people understand their options, recognise their skills and plan that next move.
Whether you work with pupils, parents and carers, adults, employers or community partners, your involvement can help more people discover that support is available when and where they need it. Start with one practical action that brings the campaign to life, such as:
- hosting a drop-in, workshop or Q&A to help people explore options, build confidence and take action on the next step of their career
- sharing practical advice on CVs, applications, interviews, apprenticeships, course choices, retraining or changing careers
- working with employers, educators, DYW groups or community organisations to create activity that connects careers support with real opportunities
- shining a spotlight on local success stories, partnership activity or examples of careers support helping people move closer to work, learning or training
