Social Enterprise in Education

Target audience - Primary School Pupil, Secondary S1 to S3 (11-14 year old), Secondary S4 to S6 (14-18 year old), College
Since 2007, the Social Enterprise in Education Programme has supported young people to set up and grow sustainable social enterprises in their schools and communities. Our transformative learning experience allows young people to develop key employability skills whilst aspiring to affect ongoing social change in their communities and beyond. We have worked with over 1,200 nurseries, schools and colleges across Scotland, Australia, Malawi and London.

Thanks to the Scottish Government, this fully funded programme empowers young people from 3-18 years to apply the skills and qualities they have to make a difference in their world, tackle issues in their community and contribute to positive change in a real-life context through setting up a social enterprise. Our facilitated learning approach engages pupils of all abilities and has helped young people to thrive, develop confidence and self-esteem and improve well-being while raising attainment and having fun!

Virtual CV Mentoring

Target audience - Secondary S4 to S6 (14-18 year old), College
Hadden Group are offering students an excellent opportunity to engage with an employer to enhance their CV writing skills. Our Community Engagement Officer/Business Development Assistant will be running CV mentoring sessions for students at secondary school or college. Are you a winter leaver looking to progress into the working world or are you a college student looking to take the next step in your career journey?

The CV mentoring sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams and the student will need to be in their school or college with an adult present. The CV sessions would normally be held face-to-face however due to the current Covid-19 social distancing restrictions we will be running these virtually.

We ask that teachers and students reach out to Mark using the "Contact Employer" option below. He will then be able to discuss numbers and dates with the individuals looking to organise the sessions. As the sessions are in high demand we ask that teachers/tutors get in touch well in advance in order to secure a place.

We look forward to hearing from you!
