What is D&A Future Talent? At Dundee and Angus College we want to ensure we provide a wraparound careers management service - D&A Future Talent - that supports the needs of the current and future workforce. As part of this pledge we have developed a range of services and events designed to support your pupils onto the next steps of their career journey, be it college, university, employment or an apprenticeship. What do we want to achieve? We want to ensure we provide every pupil with guidance at the right time; to support them making the best possible choices, ensuring the best likelihood of taking positive next steps. What can we offer? • Careers support, guidance and action-planning from our in-house ‘Careers Coaches’ using our new online system, and from Skills Development Scotland to ensure pupils make the best possible choices for their future whilst learning how to set individual personal and career goals, in relation to the world of work • Practical sessions on how to create an outstanding College application or write a great personal statement. • Interview skills sessions and ‘mock’ interviews, designed to allow pupils to learn and practice this essential skill in a ‘safe’ environment • Campus tours to let your pupils and their parents/carers see the excellent facilities the College has on offer, and an opportunity to chat with current students to find out ‘what it is really like’ at College If you would be interested in taking part in this fantastic opportunity through the month of November or simply want to find out more information, please contact me by return email or on 01241 432691. Please note that sessions can take place in schools or within College, just what is easier for you. Look forward to hearing from you. Please contact us on futuretalent@dundeeandangus.ac.uk
