Sarah is a STEM Ambassador who work as a "Cloud Advocate" at Microsoft. She can provide a 20 minute video talking about her career journey, what type of activities she gets involved in on a daily basis and what a career in IT can involve. As a follow-on from the video, Sarah can offer schools a live Question and Answer session for a group of pupils to discuss careers in IT in more detail and ask questions relating to this.

Join the Scotland’s Enterprising Schools, Developing the Young Workforce and National Museums Scotland to explore opportunities to enhance the curriculum and prepare young people for their future.

During this virtual twilight session we will explore career education in focus: where we are currently, what help is out there, share good practice with colleagues across the region and be inspired! During this interactive session we’ll cover;

  • Developing partnerships to bring the curriculum to life
  • Integrating DYW into classroom learning
  • Hear about Careers Education at the National Museums Scotland

EY Foundation Young Women's Network - Careers & Aspirations Virtual Event

Target audience - Secondary S1 to S3 (11-14 year old)
As part of the EY Foundation’s series of annual events for young people; we are holding three Young Women’s Network afternoon virtual sessions this term.

Our purpose behind these events is to motivate, inspire and build confidence within the young people. Attendees will participate in a range of activities with inspirational guest speakers; helping build confidence, resilience, networks, understanding and awareness of different careers paths and opportunities available to them.

The first event taking place on Wednesday 11th November 12:30 - 13:30, will focus on careers and aspirations and these sessions are aimed at S3/S4 pupils but other year groups are welcome to join as well. Target audience is young women in receipt of or eligible for Free School Meals.
