Cracking Cyptography

Provided by Skills Development Scotland
Young people will learn about cryptography and will use programs to encrypt and decrypt messages whilst exploring careers in cyber security. Learn about how cryptography has been used throughout history, crack some codes using a Caesar cipher and look at how this has progressed over the years, with encryption being used in almost every industry, including through applications that young people are using every day. They will gain an understanding of how the use of encryption has created opportunities and the skills that will be required in this industry.
