The NHS can be a brilliant place to start or progress your career and being a healthcare support worker can give you the opportunity to learn new skills and work in a multidisciplinary team. There are different routes into this and it can be a gateway into different roles within the healthcare sector, that you will get to see first hand on the job! Being a healthcare support worker is a rewarding job and these roles are needed in all aspects of the hospital. They are an incredibly important part of the nursing team and if you want it to be, this can be a job for life. It is a fantastic way to learn from others and learn about different experiences throughout life. If you love working with people and like to be social then this is most definitely the job for you.
