Job purpose: We are looking for a motivated and reliable Stores and Warehouse Apprentice to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fire and security industry while learning key skills in inventory management, order fulfilment, goods handling, and warehouse organisation. Under the guidance of experienced team members, you will assist with receiving and dispatching goods, maintaining stock accuracy, and supporting the coordination of components for ongoing projects. What will I learn? Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records for electronic fire and security products, supporting routine stock checks and audits to ensure availability and accuracy. Learn to process and fulfil customer orders, ensuring that security systems and components are picked, packed, and dispatched correctly and on time. Receive incoming deliveries of electronic components, verify quantities against purchase orders, and assist with inspection and quality checks of received items. Support the organisation and optimisation of warehouse space for efficient storage and retrieval of security equipment. Help maintain a clean, organised, and secure warehouse environment to support daily operations. Collaborate with technical teams to coordinate the movement of components and devices needed for project work, ensuring smooth handovers and timely delivery. Communicate effectively with colleagues to support workflow, meet deadlines, and contribute to overall team success. Follow health and safety regulations, particularly regarding the handling and storage of electronic equipment, and actively participate in safety training related to fire and security systems.
What qualifications or qualities are required? Nat 4 pass in English and Maths or above is desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with colleagues and clients. Good IT literacy, with the ability to learn and use industry-related software and digital tools. A full, clean UK driving license is preferred. If not currently held, a commitment to obtaining one by the end of the third year of the apprenticeship is expected.
