About the Role:

We are looking for experienced Frontend Architects to lead the design and delivery of modern web and mobile applications for a key client in Edinburgh. This role focuses on driving architecture decisions, implementing best practices, and guiding frontend development using the latest technologies across cloud-based and hybrid platforms. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mobile and web applications using React Native, Gluestack UI, and Storybook
• Collaborate with UX teams and product owners to ensure seamless implementation of business requirements
• Build and maintain reusable, scalable UI components
• Implement robust testing using Jest, Playwright, Appium, and BrowserStack
• Ensure accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards
• Lead integration of legacy Ionic apps with React Native (where applicable)
• Develop and integrate backend APIs and manage cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
• Implement cloud-based CI/CD and serverless deployments
• Provide technical leadership, mentor developers, and enforce best practices
• Drive innovation by introducing tools and optimizing workflows

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• Strong expertise in React Native for mobile development
• Proficiency in Gluestack UI, styling utilities, and Storybook
• Experience with automated testing tools (Jest, Playwright, Appium, Vitest, BrowserStack)
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and backend integration
• Proven ability to design reusable, high-performance components
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud security best practices
• Familiarity with the Ionic framework is a plus
