You’d tactfully suggest changes to their clothes, hairstyle and public speaking style that you think will help them make a positive impact on other people.
You would advise people about:
- What colours suit them
- The styles of clothes, make-up and hair that suit them
- Choosing and applying make-up
- Organising their wardrobe to make it easy to pick the right outfit
- Personal styling for events like weddings or business meetings
- How to present themselves in public
You could also work with a company. You would advise their employees about:
- How to give training workshops
- How to use their voice and body language positively in talks and presentations
- Their personal ‘branding’ and changing the way they appear to other people
- Understanding brand and corporate cultures
- Business etiquette, including spoken and written communication skills.
You’d refer your clients to your wide network of partners including hair stylists, make-up artists and voice coaches.
You would work with people in public and private companies, politics, media and retail.
You might also do media work. You could contribute to television and radio programmes and to articles in the local, national and specialist press.
