Breaking the glass ceiling: an art glass journey through education and a career in the traditional crafts.

Target audience - Primary School Pupil, Secondary S1 to S3 (11-14 year old), Secondary S4 to S6 (14-18 year old)
I am a glass artist based in Glasgow and operating across the Scottish central belt. My business operates on two models; a customer led commissioning process, ensuring the customer's vision is achieved through close consultation and expert advice, and the promotion of glass as an art medium to school pupils, with the aim of generating interest in glass art and to open opportunities for the next generation of glass artists. I have presented at Developing the Young Workforce and My World of Work events, at which I emphasise the benefits of STEAM. I am also available to deliver a program of workshops that are tailored to compliment your school's syllabus and Curriculum for Excellence.
