Five tiny parasites cause some of the most devastating diseases including malaria, schistosomiasis, leishmaniasis, sleeping sickness and guinea worm disease. These diseases affect 1 in every 18 people in the world.

Explore the challenges we face in fighting five of the most persistent parasites and discover the people who are fighting against them – from scientists and researchers in the laboratory to the local communities and workers on the front line.

Mini First Aid Early Years Class

Target audience - Primary School Pupil
Introducing the basics of emergency first aid in fun and interactive 30-minute workshops for children aged 3-6years. In class 1 the children will be helped to understand what happens if they are hurt and how to get help in an emergency, and in class 2 the children learn the importance of safe eating practice. Each class finishes with story time from the Award Winning books, The Mini Adventures of Freddie and Sit, Chop, Chew. Additionally, every child gets a Mini First Aid activity booklet, and a certificate on completion of the class. Private packages available for nurseries & primary schools. Mini First Aid Kids Class

Target audience - Primary School Pupil
Mini First Aid Kids classes are designed for children 7-11 years old and cover more ‘hands on’ first aid techniques. Children learn about how to respond to a range of emergency first aid situations including burns, breaks and CPR. Additionally, every child gets a Mini First Aid activity booklet, and a certificate on completion of the class. Private packages available for schools and home education groups. Mini First Aid Teens Class

Target audience - Secondary S1 to S3 (11-14 year old), Secondary S4 to S6 (14-18 year old)
Mini First Aid Teens is for children aged 11-16. This class enables them to deliver first aid if no adults were available. In the 2-hour session, Teens learn to carry out CPR and deal with choking, deal with head injuries, burns, breaks, bleeding, asthma attacks and allergic reactions. Baby & Child First Aid Class for Adults

Our Multi Award winning Baby & Child First Aid classes for parents, grandparents and carers are delivered in a relaxed and comfortable style and give you confidence to know what actions to take if faced with a medical emergency. The 2-hour Baby & Child First Aid class covers CPR, Choking, Bumps, Burns, Breaks, Bleeding, Febrile Seizures and Meningitis Awareness and will give everyone who attends the peace of mind they deserve. Mini First Aid have partnered with the Meningitis Research Foundation to ensure that all who attend our classes receive the most up to date information on meningitis awareness.
