If you, or someone you know, needs help with reading, writing or numbers, The Big Plus can help.

It's free, and available across the country.

The Big Plus will put you in touch with a tutor in your local area. The support they give is based on what you need. They can meet you in lots of different places, like libraries, community centres or colleges.

It's not like being back at school or doing a course. It's relaxed and friendly and can take just a couple of hours a week.

Visit The Big Plus website, or call our helpline on 0800 917 8000 to find out more.

How The Big Plus helps

Chloe McRoberts struggled at school with dyslexia and ADHD. She left with no qualifications. But improving her reading and writing skills is helping her to get back on track.

'I feel as if I've got a purpose again,' she says. 'And seeing how far I've actually come, I know that if I can do it, anyone can.'

The Big Plus campaign and helpline is run by Skills Development Scotland.
