A project-based course over 16 weeks requiring completion of a research task to include Animal Survival Behaviour, Behaviour of Animals in Zoos and Welfare of Animals in Zoos leading to a Level 6 National Progression Award in Zoo Animal Behaviour and Welfare.

Students will achieve recognition and accreditation for Research Skills and Problem Solving as well as Digital Media Elements whilst gaining the skills required to plan and produce a documentary and video diary. Use of NDT.
When and why they are used.
Basic theory and uses of five of the most common NDT methods: Visual inspection; Radiography; Ultrasonics; Liquid penetrant; Magnetic particle.
Selected applications of these processes.
Demonstration and candidate use of visual examination of competed weldments, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle including magnaflux and ultrasonic processes on given weldments and components.
The importance of appropriate procedures of the use of equipment and processes and the subsequent reporting of any faults and discontinuities found during investigations.
