Course description

This is a mandatory Unit within HNC/HND Business Group Award, may be an optional part of other HN group awards or taken as a stand alone HN Unit. It will allow you to develop the skills required to prepare basic financial and management accounting reports and, in addition, will also develop the skills, knowledge and understanding you need to interpret and use financial information for decision making. For more information on this course, please visit the SQA website. Credit points and level: 2 HN credits at SCQF level 7: (16 SCQF credit points at SCQF level 7). You will learn all about the preparation and use of accounting information within a business organisation. On completion of the Unit, you should be able to: Prepare final accounts of a limited company, for internal users Prepare cash budgets and calculate break even point  Identify the users of financial information and the purposes for which they require the information   Describe the various sources of finance available to an organisation   Analyse the performance and financial position of a business There are two costs associated with this course: The first presentation for £ 274.00includes the cost of SQA registration. Entry requirements

Candidates would normally be expected to be competent in numeracy and communication at SCQF level 5 or have similar qualifications or experience. This course requires you to manage your workload independently with tutor support which would be available via email and telephone, you would be assigned contact details and guidelines for your tutor once enrolled on course.
