Course description
The BPEC Domestic Gas Foundation qualification is aimed at ‘career-changers’ who wish to work in the ‘downstream’ gas industry. Individuals that successfully complete the qualifications are eligible to go on to take the relevant ACS qualifications which then provide a route to Gas Safe Registration. Assessments normally consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations. The course requires 35 days in a college environment plus ‘on the job’ training with candidates providing work-based evidence under the supervision of a Gas Safe registered installer. On completion of the training, portfolio and successful recommendation, candidates are issued with a BPEC Gas Foundation certificate. Upon receipt of the Gas Foundation certificate candidates can then apply to undertake the relevant ACS assessments.
Entry requirements
No previous experience required but delegates will be required to undergo 'on the job' training, and provide work-based evidence.
