Candidates looking to upskill and / or improve their prospects of gaining employment will upon successful completion of end tests, including a CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test, be awarded a CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) Trained Operator Card (Red), valid for 2 years. The objectives of the course are to enable delegates to: - Be able to operate machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and accepted good practice. - Use ancillary attachments. - Carry out a pre-shift inspection. - Be able to operate safely under varying site conditions. - Be able to load and unload difficult shaped loads from vehicles. - Set stabilisers correctly and have machine stable and level.
