Construction Safety Qualification Course with CSCS

Vocational
CEIS Ayrshire

Course details

Course description

CSCS is the leading certification card scheme for construction in the UK. It is the recognised way for workers to prove their awareness of Health & Safety in the sector. Obtaining a CSCS card requires candidates to pass a "touch screen" test based on their knowledge of Health & Safety. In addition, since 2014, card applicants are required to have an additional Health & Safety Qualification to apply for their card. CEIS Ayrshire deliver the SQA Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment or Highfield Level 1 Award in Health and Safety within a Construction Environment (RQF) as part of this course. The course is generally delivered over 2 days, with testing on both CSCS and the SQA Award occurring on the second day. Candidates will receive training on aspects of Health and Safety, a work book to help prepare for the CSCS test and mock tests for the CSCS test in the lead up to sitting the test. Up to 2 extra days can be available to help candidates who need extra time to prepare for the test(s). Successful candidates will receive a pass certificate for the CSCS test, a Health and Safety Certificate (appropriate for the qualification) and the appropriate card.
