Candidates will develop the knowledge, understanding and practical experience necessary to provide support in learning and workplace settings. In particular it focuses on the role of the supervisor and the area of supervision and safeguarding within a care setting. This qualification has been developed at SCQF level 7 in order to take into account the critical evaluative, analytical and reflective abilities needed to develop professionally in social services. Upon successful completion, learners will gain an international recognised qualification from SQA which guarantees that they have skills, knowledge and abilities required to carry out their role successfully. Successful completion of this PDA may lead to opportunities for employment in a more senior role. It may also lead to the candidate being able to gain access to a range of other related health and social services qualifications. This course is aimed at low-income individuals who are in a volunteering role looking to develop skills for future employment. A work-based assessor will support and guide you through your award to ensure that you are submitting relevant evidence for your portfolio. The assessment is based on performance evidence around your role as a supervisor and the role of supervision and safeguarding within a care setting.
