Course description

This one day-course plus online learning is an ideal starter for those looking for work in a Warehouse environment. During these uncertain times of Covid 19, limiting contact with others is of the utmost importance so candidates will only have to attend the training centre for one day, but can receive valuable training on 3 elements. This course gives the individual an RTITB accredited qualification for the Pedestrian Pallet Truck plus 2 online courses, one for Manual Handling awareness and the other, Time Management. PPT (RTITB): This course will train candidates to operate a Powered Pallet Truck. The course will be carried out in accordance with Road Transport Industry Training Board (RTITB) guidelines and on successful completion candidates will receive an accredited certificate, Photo ID Card and be registered on the RTITB National Operators Database. This will provide evidence of qualification for prospective employers. There will be a maximum of 2 candidates per one day course. Manual Handling (online): IIRSM & CPD Approved Incorrect manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work. To try and combat manual handling problems, the Manual Handling Operations Regulations were introduced. The Regulations lay out duties for both employees and employers. They give a general requirement that employees must be trained to manually handle correctly including the use of any equipment their employer provides to handle loads safely. This course outlines exactly what constitutes manual handling and covers the regulations and legislation that apply to manual handling tasks. It then goes on to cover safe handling techniques and how to develop good habits in relation to manual handling. It finishes off by introducing some practical solutions and the use of mechanical aids. Please note that this is an awareness course only - if your duties include manual handling you will also need further practical training. Time Management (online) CPD Approved. Good Time Management will improve and enhance the time spent in the workplace and can even go a long way to improving the quality of the work candidates produce. For most people however this is easier said than done. Having more work to do than can be completed on time can lead to increased stress… dissatisfaction… and demoralisation… This course can help, by introducing candidates to some of the theories and techniques of time management that can really make a difference. For both online courses, candidates will work their way through the various modules, watching the training videos and answering questions at the end of each section to continue. Upon successful completion they will be able to download their certificates and add to their portfolio.
