Course description
This Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing has been designed for candidates who wish to develop their skills and knowledge to work and/or seek employment as a gym instructor. Candidates will be equipped with the skills to prescribe, plan and deliver safe and effective exercise programmes to a range of clients. The qualification will be delivered online with the use of online lectures, online learning resources, only a single practical practice day and assessment day required at one of our facilities.
Entry requirements
Some experience of gym-based exercises, including free weights, is highly recommended. The course requires physical exertion, and individual participation is essential; therefore, a degree of physical fitness is necessary. There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at level 2.
