Course description
This qualification focuses around Stewarding at Spectator Events. The main purpose of this qualification is to successfully prepare the course attendees for employment within stewarding at spectator events. This will be working in the active leisure Sector which can include events in sports, festivals, concerts, music and other such events. The course covers numerous different topics including crowd management and responding to crowd problems, safe and control entry and exits for customers, how to successfully prepare for an event and how to deal with or respond to emergencies. A steward is responsible for assisting with customers and who ensures their safety The total qualification time is 50 hours. 40 of these hours are classed as recommended guided learning hours. This total qualification time is the average number of hours it takes a learner to show complete understanding and can demonstrate the adequate level to be awarded with this qualification. This is done with direct supervision as previously stated as guided learning, and without supervision. This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence. Entry requirements
Anyone over 16 who is considering a career in stewarding at spectator events. However, learners should be able to work at level 2 or above and be proficient in the use of English Language.
