This 1 day course is aimed at providing individuals with the essential knowledge & understanding of a broad range of health & safety issues . It is designed to assist them to assess risks/hazards, operate safely and to be aware of how their actions can affect the health and safety of themself/others. Topics include: . Introduction to health and safety . Accidents and ill health . Health and safety law . Risk assessment . Hazardous substances . Personal protective equipment . Manual handling Tutor support is available through discussion and interaction throughout training but not for examination. An online multiple choice examination has to be achieved to obtain the award.
