This course is ideal for those who have a valid 6 month temporary CSCS card wishing to gain a full 5 year Construction Skills Certification Scheme card (CSCS). The course covers health and safety training, - The British Safety Council Level 1 qualification: Health and Safety in a Construction Environment: This qualification gives people who are already working, or wanting to work, in the construction industry, the essential knowledge to manage health and safety. Passing this qualification also allows you to take your CITB test and to apply for your CSCS card. This qualification is a Highfieldl course and is regulated by the UK qualifications regulators in the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) You will gain the following critical knowledge: How to take personal responsibility for health and safety, and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. How to make risk assessments, method statements and report accidents. How to manage risks involving work equipment, moving vehicles and mobile plant, fire, electricity, manual handling, noise, vibration, hazardous substances, alcohol and drugs. The importance of health and safety signs and personal protective equipment. Learners pass the qualification by completing an online exam which consists of 40 multiple-choice questions based on the learning completed. Candidates have one hour to complete the exam and must answer at least 32 questions correctly to pass. The online qualifications system allows us to access your results at any time. Passing this qualification will allow DEAP to apply for you full 5 year CSCS card.
