Apprentice stonemason

'It's really cool to look at a building and to think that in 50 years' time, or 100 years' time, that a stone that you've cut is up there and you did that.'

Megan is learning to be a stonemason with Historic Scotland, using traditional tools.

She enjoys travelling round Scotland to ancient monuments and magnificent buildings and knowing that her work is helping to preserve them for the future.

She says, 'At college we learn the skills, and when you go out on site you get a chance to practice these skills and get the experience of what it's like in the workplace.'
