Throughout My Strengths you’ll be presented with a series of statements or questions, depending on your age category.

My Strengths for people aged 12–19

You will be presented with a series of statements related to how well you do something, how much you enjoy doing it or how often you get to do it. You should rate each statement based on how much you agree with it.

For example, for the statement ‘I am good at understanding people’s feelings’, you need to rate it according to whether you:

  • strongly disagree
  • disagree
  • neither agree/disagree
  • agree
  • strongly agree.

For the best results, try to answer as honestly as possible. Don’t worry if you’re unsure though – just go with your gut reaction.

At the end of the quiz you will be presented with your strengths summary, which will provide you with a list of the strengths you use regularly and those that you don’t. You will also be given suggestions for subjects and jobs that might be suited to you.

You can view your full strengths report by clicking the ‘open my report’ button at the bottom of the page and either opening or saving the pdf file.

My Strengths for people aged over 20

You will be presented with a series of statements related to how well you do something, how much you enjoy doing it or how often you get to do it. You should rate each statement based on how successful you are at doing it, how often you do it and how you feel when you do it.

For the best results, try to answer as honestly as possible. Don’t worry if you’re unsure though – just go with your gut reaction.

At the end of the questionnaire you will be presented with your realised and unrealised strengths.

Realised strengths are things that you’re good at, enjoy doing and use often. Unrealised strengths are also things that you’re good at and enjoy doing, but you might not get much of an opportunity to use in your everyday life. Figuring out what your unrealised strengths are can be very useful when thinking about a change in your career.
